Sunday will be clear with a high near 74, a low around 53 and a calm wind, according to the National Weather Service.

By Monday, the skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 75 and a Monday night low around 58.

A 30 percent chance of rain is in the forecast for Tuesday, with the chance rising to 40 percent before midnight and remaining 40 percent on Wednesday.

On Thanksgiving Day,? the chance of showers and thunderstorms rises to 50 percent, with a high near 65 and a nighttime low of 41.

Friday should be partly sunny but cool, with a high of 48.

Tonight's low will be around 43 with Saturday's high near 72. Saturday night's low is forecast to be around 48.

Sunday will be a sunny day with a high near 73 with a low of 51.

Thanksgiving week begins with sunny skies with a high near 74. Monday night's low is expected to be around 58.

There's a 20 percent chance of showers on Tuesday with a high near 75.

The forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday with a 50 percent chance of rain and storms on Thanksgiving.

Thursday night's low will be around 40 with partly cloudy skies and calm winds.

Then, look for clear skies through Sunday with a high around 65 on Friday. The highs Saturday and Sunday will be around 70.

Friday night's low is expected to be near 43 with Saturday night's temperature around 46.

Metro Birmingham forecast: Another day of rain before skies clear

It was 60 degrees in Birmingham at 6 a.m. and central Alabama faced a second day of rain with possibly some storms, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast called for showers and possibly a storm early today with a high near 65 degrees. The chance of rain was set at 100 percent. Change will start tonight as the rain begins to fade out.

Wednesday should bring some sunshine and a high near 61 degrees. No rain is forecast for the balance of the week. Temperatures will stay in the low 60s through Thursday before climbing to near 70 during the weekend.

Clear tonight and Monday, rainy by Tuesday

Expect clear weather through Monday, but look for rain by Tuesday, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.

Tonight calls for clear skies and chilly temperatures, with a low around 46.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78. On Monday night there will be increasing clouds, a low around 57 and a 20 percent chance of showers.

Tuesday calls for cloudy skies and a 50 percent chance of showers. The high will be near 66. Overnight, expect rain showers and a low around 48.

More showers are likely are Wednesday and the daytime high will reach near 59.

By later in the week, the chance of showers will decrease to 20 percent on Thursday and Friday, with clearing expected for the weekend.

Daily highs Thursday through Sunday are expected to be in the 50s, with overnight lows in the mid-30s.
