Forecast: More rain expected tonight, Tuesday in metro Birmingham

More rain, and possibly a thunderstorm, is expected tonight in the Birmingham area, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight's low will be around 54.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms Tuesday morning.

Tuesday's high will be near 63 with a low that night around 38.

Sunny skies will returns Wednesday when the high will be near 61 with a low around 44.

Forecast: Strong chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday

Rain is likely to fall on the Birmingham area Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain tonight after 1 a.m. Skies will be cloudy with a low around 53.

There is a 50 to 60 percent chance of rain throughout the day Tuesday. The high will be near 69 with a low around 50.

Wednesday's forecast calls for a 70 percent of rain with a high near 60 and a low around 48.

Clear tonight and Monday, rainy by Tuesday

Expect clear weather through Monday, but look for rain by Tuesday, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.

Tonight calls for clear skies and chilly temperatures, with a low around 46.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78. On Monday night there will be increasing clouds, a low around 57 and a 20 percent chance of showers.

Tuesday calls for cloudy skies and a 50 percent chance of showers. The high will be near 66. Overnight, expect rain showers and a low around 48.

More showers are likely are Wednesday and the daytime high will reach near 59.

By later in the week, the chance of showers will decrease to 20 percent on Thursday and Friday, with clearing expected for the weekend.

Daily highs Thursday through Sunday are expected to be in the 50s, with overnight lows in the mid-30s.
