Thunderstorms Hibernate at 4 o'clock in the morning

The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm watch for central Alabama will remain in effect until 4 p.m. Monday.

Weather covers 43, including Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Blount County and the counties of Walker.

Top-level strong storm system will grow throughout central Alabama tonight, create conditions that could spawn thunderstorms, large hail and isolated tornadoes.
